Ingredients
- 2nos - Potatos(boiled n mashed)
- 1tsp - Cumin seeds
- 1 cup -Onion
- 2nos - Green chillies
- Few Curry leaves
- 1/2Cup -Corriander leaves
- 1/4tsp - Turmeric powder
- 1/2tsp -Ginger Garlic paste
- Salt to Taste
For Batter
- 1cup -Besan/Gram Flour
- 1/2tsp - Red chilli Powder
- 1/4tsp - Ajwain
- 1/4tsp - Baking Powder (optional)
- Salt to Taste
Procedure
Mix besan,red chilli powder,ajwain n salt along with water to make a thick batter n keep aside.
In a pan heat the oil,add cumin seeds,when it splutters add green chillies,curry leaves,corriander leaves n ginger garlic paste,turmeric powder n fry for few mins.
Add finely chopped onions n fry till it turns golden brown, add the mashed potatos n mix well n allow it to cool.
In a kadai heat the oil for deep fry.Make the potato mixture into balls n dip it in the batter.Let it coat all the sides.
Drop in a hot oil n fry till it turns golden brown on all the sides.
Place it in a paper towel to drain excess oil
Serve hot with tomato ketchup/coconut chutney.
