Fruit/Veggies Bread Basket

Due to my personal work i took off for 2 weeks from blogging.In the meantime i missed blogging a lot n few fellow bloggers!! So after a long gap im presenting this bread basket to all the food bloggers.I saw this one while browsing the net long back.Till then i was thinking to try this,atlast i got time to try this out.

  • Bread slices
  • Cupcake Pan
  • 1Cup - Mixed fruits
  • 1Cup - Mixed veggies(corn,onion,capsicum etc)
  • Whipped Cream For fruit topping
  • Cheese/butter(optional) n Tomato ketchup for Veggies


Cut the edges of the bread and keep aside.

In a cupcake/muffin pan place each bread in each cup n shape to form a basket

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees and bake for 15 mins.

It will turn little hard n crispy,remove it n allow to cool.

For Fruit Basket

Spread little powdered sugar on the bread before baking.

After it gets cool,apply little whipped cream on the sides n fill with fruits n top it with whipped Cream.

Now Fruit basket is ready to serve.

For veggies Basket

In a pan heat oil,add onions(finely chopped) n fry till it turns golden brown.

Add Corn(i used frozenkernels) and capsicum n very finely chopped jalapenos n fry for few mins.

Take the bread basket and apply little tomato ketchups on the sides n stuff with little mixed veggies n top with cheese/Butter(optional).

Vegetable bread basket is ready!!

Corriander chicken and An Award!

Thanks to vahchef,for this very delicious recipe.Snice long time im planning to try this corriander chicken n Nilgiri Korma from vahchef,atlast today i got the time to try out this corrinader chicken with slight variation from vahchef.we really liked this n had a bit more than usual :-)

  • 1Cup - Chicken
  • 1bunch - Corriander leaves
  • 1no - Onion ( finely chopped )
  • 1no - Tomato ( finely chopped )
  • 3nos - Dry red chillies
  • 1tsp - Corriander seeds (crushed)
  • 1/2Cup -Curd
  • 1 tsp - Ginger Garlic paste
  • 2tsp - Cashew nut powder
  • 1/4tsp - Turmeric powder
  • 1/2tsp - Red chilli powder
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil


Marinate the chicken for 30mins with red chilli powder,turmeric powder,ginger garlic paste,salt n 2tsp curd.

Grind the Corriander leaves with dry red chilli with little water.

Heat the oil in a pan,add onion n fry till it turns transparent,Add ginger garlic paste n fry raw smell goes off.

Add tomato n cook till it turns mushy.add crushed corriander seeds n cashew powder and pour the corriander/red chilli mix along with 1/4 Cup water and bring it to boil.

Add the marinated chicken,1/4 Cup curd ,mix well n cover with lid and cook in a low-medium flame till the chicken turns tender.Stir in btw.

Serve hot with jeera rice/chappathi/roti.

Jeera Rice

  • 1Cup - Basmathi rice
  • 1tsp - Cumin seeds
  • 1/2Cup - Corriander leaves
  • 1no - Green chilli
  • Salt to taste
  • 2Cup - water
  • Food color (optional)


Soak the rice and keep aside for 30mins

In a Pan heat the oil,add cumin seeds,when splutters add green chilli,corriander leaves n fry for a min and add 2cups of water.

Bring it to boil n add salt.Add the soaked rice n cook in a medium flame,till the water is absorbed by rice n add the food color in the top n cook in low flame for few mins.

If using Rice cooker,pour all the content into the rice cooker n cook till the rice gets cooked.Add the food color on top.

Serve hot with Non-veg gravies.

Bhel Puri

I love all types of chaats specially Bhel puri n cutlet chaat.Bhel puri is a very famous snack which we can find in roadside/streets of many places all over india!!.It main ingredient is puffed rice,boiled potato in tangy tamarind sauce.Many a times it was my dinner while in hostel!!


  • 2Cups -Puffed Rice
  • Few Pani Pooris -Broken
  • 1/2Cup -Sev
  • 1Cup - Onion(finely chopped)
  • 1/2Cup - Tomato(finely chopped)
  • 1 no - Potato( boiled n cubed)
  • 1/2Cup - Carrot
  • 1/2Cup - Cucumber
  • 1/2Cup -Corriander leaves
  • 1/2tsp - Red chilli Powder
  • 1/4tsp - Turmeric Powder
  • Salt -As required
  • Tamarind chutney - As required
  • Green Chutney -As required
Tamarind chutney


  • 1Cup - Tamarind Extract(Tamarind Soaked in hot water)
  • 1tsp -Jaggery
  • 1/2tsp -Red chilli powder
  • Salt - As required
  • 1tsp -Powdered Cumin seeds

Mix Everything in a bowl n microwave it for few mins.

Green/Corrinader-mint chutney


  • 1 1/2Cup - Corriander Leaves
  • 1 Cup -Mint leaves
  • 3nos - Green chillies
  • Salt - As required

Grind above all ingredients along with little water.

Bhel Puri Procedure

Heat a tsp of oil in a pan,fry the Puffed rice along with red chilli ,turmeric powder n salt for few mins.(Optional).

In a large Bowl mix the fried puffed rice onion tomato carrot cucumber n broken pani pooris and sev.

Add the green and tamarind chutney as you required.

Granish with corriander leaves and sev.

Egg Masala


  • 4nos - Boiled Eggs
  • 2nos - Finely chopped onions
  • 2nos - Finely Chopped tomato
  • 1/4tsp - Mustard seeds
  • 1/4tsp - Cumin seeds
  • 1/2tsp - Ginger-garlic paste
  • 2nos - Green chillies
  • 1tsp - Corriander powder
  • 1/2tsp - Cumin powder
  • 1/2tsp - Red chilli powder
  • 1/4tsp - Turmeric powder
  • Few curry leaves
  • Corriander leaves


Heat oil in a pan,add mustard seeds,cumin seeds,when splutters add green chillies curry leaves,onion,salt as required n fry till it turns transparent.

Add Ginger garlic paste,turmeric powder n fry till the raw smell goes off.Add tomatos n cook till it turns mushy,add red chilli powder,cumin corriander powder,with 1/4Cup water and cook for few mins.

Cut the boiled eggs into two pieces,n add the halved eggs to the masala n mix well with it.

Take out from stove top n Granish with Corriander leaves.
