Jeera Rice

Ingredients
  • 1Cup - Basmathi rice
  • 1tsp - Cumin seeds
  • 1/2Cup - Corriander leaves
  • 1no - Green chilli
  • Salt to taste
  • 2Cup - water
  • Food color (optional)

Procedure


Soak the rice and keep aside for 30mins

In a Pan heat the oil,add cumin seeds,when splutters add green chilli,corriander leaves n fry for a min and add 2cups of water.

Bring it to boil n add salt.Add the soaked rice n cook in a medium flame,till the water is absorbed by rice n add the food color in the top n cook in low flame for few mins.

If using Rice cooker,pour all the content into the rice cooker n cook till the rice gets cooked.Add the food color on top.

Serve hot with Non-veg gravies.

You can't tempt us like this.. You should also give some veggie option for non meat eaters like us. BTW.. that gravy looks tempting I am pretending it as some paneer curry.. heh!heh!
